Seeing the World vs. Knowing the World

Grand Voyages are a great supplement to World Cruises

Knowing the difference between world cruises & Grand Voyages

While a Full World Cruise is the ultimate “bucket list” achievement, many of our seasoned travelers are looking toward Grand Voyages as another incredible option.

So what’s the difference? A Grand Voyage is a deep dive into a single region. Ranging from 35 to 90+ days, these itineraries allow you to more indepthly inhabit a part of the world.

We know that many of our clients are “Global Collectors.” For those years between your full circumnavigations, or for travelers who have already “seen it all” and now want to “know it all,” the Grand Voyages offer a different kind of magic. While a World Cruise is your grand overview of the earth, a Grand Voyage is a deep-focus study of a single, magnificent region.

2026-2027 Spotlight Itineraries

We have hand-selected three upcoming Grand Voyages that offer exceptional value and unique routing:

  • Grand South America & Antarctica (2027)

    • Ship: Holland America Zaandam | 70 Days

    • The Draw: A full circumnavigation of the continent, including four days of scenic cruising in the “White Continent” and a transit of the Panama Canal.

  • Grand Mediterranean Immersive (2026)
    • Ship: Silversea Silver Spirit | 50 Days

    • The Draw: Avoid the mid-summer rush. This late-season voyage focuses on the “authentic soul” of the Med, from the Greek Isles to the hidden coves of the Adriatic.

  • Grand Arctic Expedition (2027)

    • Ship: Seven Seas Mariner | 93 Days

    • The Draw: Spend extensive time exploring the volcanic landscapes of Iceland and the towering glaciers of Greenland. Then after the Arctic, turn south to the British Isles and the wine regions of France.

Pro Tip:
Many Grand Voyages are actually composed of smaller “segments.” If you love a specific route but can only spare 3 weeks, we can often book you into a specific portion of the larger journey.
